What you get to do: Play a significant role in making an impression on guests and sharing the Kimpton experience in a unique Milwaukee property. Create memorable guest experiences in a high volume, late night lounge with craft cocktails, beer, wine and high class food.
Your day-to-day:
* Oversee training and performance of bar operations
* Ensure the bar, guest area and service areas are in neat and presentable conditions
* Engage with guests and ensure exemplary satisfaction
* Conduct monthly employee meetings
* Communicate with management regularly
* Coordinate with sales and catering teams for events in the bar area
* Monitor the flow and capacity of the bar
* Actively participate as a member of the leadership team
Specific experience we're seeking:
* Strong communication skills
* Have 2 years hotel/restaurant or related management experience
* Computer literate
* High volume bar & restaurant experience
* High level of hospitality and guest service experience
* Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Prior experience required. Depending on the role degree may be required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
